President

Travis has served as President since February 2013. Having learned the land business from his father, one of the most reputable brokers in the industry, Travis combines knowledge, integrity, and hard work to produce exceptional results for clients.

Continuing his father’s legacy, Travis maintains customer service as his top priority, effectively communicating with his clients and his team to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. Travis has directly managed over $10B in client acquisitions and divestitures for major E&P companies. His vast knowledge of industry players and activity aids in his ability to maximize value for clients’ oil and gas assets.

Travis attended the University of Arkansas, where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Finance. There, Travis was named to the SEC Athletic Academic Honor Roll and competed in the College World Series in 2009.

Chris Mulvaney

Senior Land Advisor

Chris has more than 30 years experience in land and project management across the United States. Chris brings strong leadership and supervisory skills to BSA, with a background that includes roles such as Manager of the Austin Chalk Business Unit (1994-1999) for Union Pacific Resources Company, where Chris supervised as many as 37 in-house land professionals and over 250 contract landmen. During that time, the Business Unit accumulated over 3 million acres of leasehold, over 200 producing property acquisition transactions, hundreds of partner contract negotiations, and title examination and curative to support the drilling of over 2,500 horizontal wells spanning across Texas and Louisiana. The enormous level of activity generated by the Business Unit gave the company the distinction of being the #1 driller of oil and gas wells in the United States for seven consecutive years (1992-1998).

Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Business Administration. His certifications include Certified Professional Landman and Certified Environmental Site Assessor.

Kristi Jones

Director of Land & Legal

Kristi is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She specializes in the examination and analysis of complex title to allow our clients to make informed decisions quickly.  Kristi also assists clients with acquisition and divestiture of mineral and leasehold assets.

Kristi graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and received her J.D. degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A & M School of Law). She is licensed through the State Bar of Texas and certified through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has been selected as a “Top Oil and Gas Attorney” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine from 2015 to 2020.

Keith Hamby

Director of Leasing & Curative

Keith is a seasoned landman in the oil and gas industry and specializes in lease acquisition, negotiations and curative. He has worked in multiple shale plays and has leased more then 80,000 acres in his career. Keith currently supervises a team of landmen working in multiple counties across North Texas.

Keith graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Personnel Management and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Chase Thompson

Director of Operations & Technology

Chase Thompson is an experienced landman who brings a wealth of technical knowledge to each project. His prior experience includes extensive work in the Delaware Basin and Midland Basin on behalf of some of the largest public companies including OXY, Anadarko and Chesapeake. He has worked extensively in the Delaware and Midland basins. Chase handles all aspects of mineral and leasehold title research with a focus on acquisition due diligence.

He received his Associates Degree in Computer Networking Systems Administration and Security and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.
